No Fuss Blend

Fazenda Pantano, Cerrado, Brazil.

550 hectares, of which more than 300 are permanent natural forest reserve — six times what Brazilian law requires. The farm runs over 200 varietals, most still experimental, in partnership with the Brazilian Coffee Research Institute. They use GPS-guided soil nutrition, honey-based insecticides, and an ionic charge on the nutrient spray so it sticks to the leaf instead of washing away. They support a local school, fund training and courses for their staff, and provide full healthcare. Rainforest Alliance certified.

Beshasha, Ethiopia.

Mustefa started exporting in 2018 when the rules changed and he could finally deal with buyers directly. He built the Beshasha wet mill to process his own coffee and his neighbours' - outgrowers farming four to ten hectares each. Since 2021 the agronomist Harun has worked alongside him on cherry selection, shade netting over the drying beds, and moisture monitoring, and trains local farmers in good agricultural practice. Mustefa has since built a warehouse in Agaro and added four more purchasing sites.

Permata Gayo, Aceh, Indonesia.

Founded in 2006 by fifty farmers rebuilding their livelihoods through coffee. Organic certified in 2007, Fairtrade Organic in 2009. It now has 2,053 members across 39 villages. Because the co-op runs everything from farm to export itself, more of the final price goes back to the people who grew it.

Our signature everyday blend. Smooth, rich and dependable, the No Fuss Blend is exactly what it says on the bag: proper coffee with zero faff. Notes of chocolate and hazelnut with a clean, easy finish. Works beautifully as espresso, filter or cafetière  

Sizes: 250g for the occasional brewer, 1kg for the daily drinker.

Grind: Available as whole bean, espresso grind, cafetière or Aeropress. Ground fresh to order.

We sponsor four farming households through The Stumping Project in the Gedeo Zone of Ethiopia - a Falcon Coffees and TechnoServe initiative.

Stumping means cutting an old, exhausted coffee tree back to the trunk so it regrows. It costs a farmer a harvest or two before it pays off, which is exactly why most people never risk it.

Our four households, all in Hanku kebele, stumped 633 trees between them this season:

Ashenafi Alenem and Hirut Tadesse - 282 trees
Michael Tilahun and Lomitu Edema - 126 trees
Maru Bedecha and Mesert Napho - 116 trees
Ezekiel Gezahgn and Zewifotu Kifle - 109 trees

Across the whole project, 2.3 million trees have been stumped and 95,642 farmers trained - 42,935 of them women. The results are the reason it works: trees stumped in 2022 produced 1.6 times more cherry in 2023/24, and 2.7 times more the year after.
